She handles matters including divorce, custody, property division, alimony, child support, paternity, termination of parental rights, prenuptial agreements, marital separation agreements, post-divorce cases, and representing clients in alternative dispute resolution such as mediation and arbitration. Carol’s training and experience as a mediator enhance her abilities as an attorney, in resolving cases without the necessity of contested litigation.

The firm primarily handles cases in Richland and Lexington Counties, but it is a statewide practice. Carol Sanders, P.A. is dedicated to serving all the needs of a client’s case, by using its own staff and other resources, as well as by accessing experts in all areas.

AS A MEDIATOR: Carol Sanders is a trained mediator, with 19 years of experience mediating Family Court cases. She was one of the first attorneys in the midlands of South Carolina to be trained in mediation. Helping people resolve their cases with dignity is one of her passions. She is also a trained arbitrator. She is certified to mediate cases by appointment of the Family Court. She currently serves on the Commission on Alternative Dispute Resolution and the Board of Arbitrator and Mediator Certification by appointment of the South Carolina Supreme Court.
